I have purchased a new chain and cassette as well as mountain bike pedals for my touring bike.
It makes a big difference as it is much easier to ride and my chain does not constantly shift every time I put pressure on my pedals.
With that new set up, back to some of one of my training ride for the cross country trip - Malibu or more specifically, Pepperdine University. There is a nice climb up to the university. I cannot remember the last time I did this ride.
The next week I went a little further up to Latigo Canyon. I am not ready to ascend that yet, but hope to in a few weeks when the weather is cooler. This is a 9.23 mi Bike Ride in Malibu, CA, United States. The Bike Ride has a total ascent of 185.2 ft and has a maximum elevation of 2,114.2

The next day, another ride I have not done in awhile - to the end of Ventura Blvd. - Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana and Woodland Hills. A left at Valley Vista and continue through Calabasas, Agoura Hills and ending in Westlake Village.
Westlake Village is a planned community that straddles the Los Angeles and Ventura county line. The eastern portion is the incorporated city of Westlake Village, located on the western edge of Los Angeles County, California
